Building Fund

Several Years ago We began a Building Fund in order to help us maintain our beautiful lodge room in Historic Hanover Square.   You, my Brothers have been very generous in your support of this fund.

Thanks to your donations we have been able to replace the roof on the third floor of the building, replace the front windows, and the older, less efficient doors on the back of our building.  At the same time, we have increased the curb appeal and cut our electric bills.

As we continue to work on lowering the electric bills and be more energy efficient we are looking at separating the heating system for the upstairs and the down stairs.  This would include a new boiler and plumbing work.  The return on this investment will be much greater than other projects we have in the hopper so we may be looking at doing this project sooner than planned.  Estimates for this project are being obtained at this time.

Other planned renovation projects include fixing and/or replacing the bathrooms on the first floor.  Over time the fixtures have become stained, and developed leaks.  The floors in the bathrooms have also seen better days.  Estimates for this work range from $2,500 to $3,000 depending on what materials we decide to go with.

However, we also need to focus on some renovations to the kitchen area as well.  Although we do not have estimates this project also needs to be worked on.

If you would like to make a donation to help with these and other projects please make a check payable to Horseheads Old Oak Lodge and send it to 2216 Grand Central Ave, Horseheads, NY 14845.

We would like to sincerely thank the following brothers for their donations to this years fund:
